Yes, I just looked at the accountability report and it seems like that report needs an update. Montclair Elementary does have full day Kindergarten. It indicates that they do not have full day Kinder nor do they have preschool, yet they do? Also, do you know if there is any plan for a music program? The SAR shows that they do not have one and I was just curious if this might be something they are hoping to add in the future. There is racial and socio-economic diversity in the Early High Strides. My impression is that Early High Strides is best for children with parental academic support at home. The school also offers Read to Achieve, a pull-out program for children who are not reading at grade level. My daughter takes part in this program and it's been good for her. Just wanted to make two quick comments to the Montclair. First, the playground is going to be completely redone this summer, so -- with any luck -- the flaws you identify will be gone soon. Second, each Kindergarten class has a full-time para, so the adult to kid ratio in those classes is among the lowest in DPS. Good luck with your blog -- I'm impressed!
